Η ερευνητική δραστηριότητα του εργαστηρίου επικεντρώνεται στους εξής τομείς:

1. Φυσιολογία και παθοφυσιολογία των βλεμματικών κινήσεων
2. Φυσιολογία και παθοφυσιολογία της κεντρικής και περιφερικής αιθουσαίας λειτουργίας
3. Διερεύνηση της ισορροπίας και των διαταραχών της όρθιας στάσης
4. Μελέτη και παρακολούθηση ασθενών με εκφυλιστικά σύνδρομα της παρεγκεφαλίδας και του στελέχους
5. Μελέτη και παρακολούθηση ασθενών με κεντρικά και περιφερικά σύνδρομα ιλίγγου

Ηλεκτροφυσιολογικός εξοπλισμός

• Διάταξη διόφθαλμης βιντεονυσταγμογραφικής καταγραφής οριζόντιων και κάθετων οφθαλμικών κινήσεων με οθόνη προβολής οπτικών στόχων και οπτοκινητικών μοτίβων (Visual Eyes 525, Interacoustics, Denmark) στα 100 Hz
• Δύο διατάξεις καταγραφής οφθαλμικών κινήσεων με σύστημα αντανάκλασης υπερύθρων (Iris, Skalar, Delft / Netherlands) με ψηφιοποίηση με εξωτερική κάρτα National Instruments στα 500 Hz
• Σύστημα τρισδιάστατης καταγραφής κινήσεων οφθαλμού και κεφαλής vHIT στα 220 Hz (EyeSeeCam, Interacoustics, Denmark) 
• Θεσεογραφική στατική δυναμο-πλατφόρμα (posturography) (Synapsys, France)
• Σύστημα θερμού-ψυχρού διακλυσμού λαβυρίνθου με αέρα (Kaloristar, Biomed, Jena)
